Boya Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Pty Ltd is a Western Australian-owned business providing high-quality Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Refrigeration services to residential, commercial and industrial clients across the state.

Established in 2021 by proud Yued Noongar man and experienced refrigeration mechanic Malcolm Binder, Boya is built on strong family values, a commitment to quality workmanship, and a strong customer focus.

We are currently seeking a motivated First Nations Apprentice to join our team and undertake a MEM31322 Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

The Opportunity

This full-time apprenticeship offers the chance to gain a nationally recognised qualification while developing practical skills alongside experienced tradespeople.

You will gain experience in:

• Fault finding and troubleshooting refrigeration and air conditioning systems
• Diagnosing and assisting with repairs
• Installation of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment
• Residential, commercial and FIFO projects
• Customer service and client interaction
• Safe work practices and industry standards

The role may involve occasional travel to regional Western Australia, including locations such as Wave Rock, Newman and Port Hedland.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (identified position)
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Be reliable, punctual and responsible
• Have a strong willingness to learn
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic

Essential Requirements

• Current Driver's Licence
• Ability to meet site entry requirements, which may include police clearances and background checks for mining and commercial locations

Working Hours Winter

Monday to Friday
Approximately 8:00am to 4:00pm

Summer

Monday to Friday
Approximately 6:00am to 8:00pm as required

Saturday work may be required during busy periods.

All overtime and additional hours are paid in accordance with applicable award conditions and rates.
